IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Darryl James
"Mo" Mozisek
July 14, 1965 – September 19, 2025
Darryl James Mozisek (Mo), 60, of Hallettsville, our beloved son, brother, uncle, family member and friend, was tragically taken from us. He joined our Lord on the evening of Friday, September 19, 2025. H was born on July 14, 1965, to Ervin and Shirley "Muhlstein" Mozisek in Yoakum, TX. He attended school, grades first through seventh, in Yoakum, Texas. The family then moved to Hallettsville, where Darryl graduated from Hallettsville High School with the class of 1983.
Darryl enjoyed life every single day with his dog, Sadie, by his side. He loved fishing, or as he would say, "Catchin", boating on his pontoon named "It's a Long Story", golfing, rodeoing, and catching up with his family and friends on his phone while on the road hauling cattle. He also cherished and enjoyed spending holidays with family and attending Harper's softball and volleyball games.
One of Mo's favorite past times was watching football games. He played football during middle school and high school. He proudly displayed his team spirit as an avid New Orleans Saints fan, as well as a Texas A&M fan.
Darryl definitely made life count while sharing stories with friends, making people laugh, and enjoying conversations with people he met in town or on the road. He never met a stranger, and everyone was "a buddy of mine" to him.
Darryl is survived by; his mother Shirley Mozisek and Mr. Jim Grosse, his sister Pam Mozisek Dolezal and brother-in-law Harold Dolezal, niece and nephew, Kasey Dolezal and Chase Dolezal & wife Shelby and his friend Betty Manning. He was a loving uncle to his great nieces; Harper, Tinley, Everly, Tatum, Hadley, Madalynn and great nephew Ryder. In addition, he was survived by aunts Bernice Mozisek Schulte, Jeanette Hinton & husband Curtis, Clara Mozisek, and Doris Kalisek, his Uncle Gilbert Mozisek & wife Evelyn and eleven cousins.
Darryl was preceded in death by: his father Ervin Mozisek; his uncles, Dan Mozisek, Joe Mozisek Jr. and Dale Schulte; his grandparents, Joe & Emily Holik Mozisek and Albert & Lydia Einkauf Muhlstein; and first cousin Jeremy Mozisek.
