July 15, 1943 – January 15, 2012
Daniel served in the US Navy from 1961 to 1964, as an Aviation Mechanic. He was employed by Anderson Greenwood & Co. in Houston (now Tyco Valve) for 32 years. He returned to Hallettsville in 1997, and spent the past 15 years ranching.
Daniel is survived by: his wife Diana; 2 sons, David Wick & wife Renee of Santa Fe, TX, and Daryl Wick of Missouri City & Jalyn White-Wick of Sweeney; 4 grandchildren, Chelsea & Tiffany of Santa Fe, Dillon & Jaden of Sweeney; 1 great grandchild, Isabella of Santa Fe; 2 brothers, Arthur Wick & wife Carl Jane of Coldspring, TX, and Maurice Wick & wife Rose of Katy; 2 sisters, Cindy Spanihel & husband Tim, and Marilyn Drozd & husband Dwayne, both of Hallettsville.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, and nephew Shawn Drozd.
Funeral Mass Service: 11 am, Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 4 pm, Tuesday at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosary: 7 pm, Tuesday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. Timothy Kosler. Pallbearers: Brian Wick, Gregg Nemec, Heath Burg, Brian Cernosek, Mark Cernosek, and Shane Drozd. Memorials (in lieu of flowers): St. Jude Children's Hospital, Disabled American Vets, or Charity of your choice. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
