Dan Bordovsky, 89, of Hallettsville, passed away April 13, 2016. He was born on Oct. 15, 1926 to John S. & Frances Horak Bordovsky in Charlotte, TX. He married Laura Boyle on Jan. 22, 1949 in Raymondville, TX. He was a veteran of WWII, member of AT&T Telephone Pioneer and Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville.

Dan is survived by: son, John Bordovsky & wife Kathy of Round Rock TX; 3 daughters, Sharon Strode of Hallettsville, TX, Becky Bordovsky of Erie, PA, and Mary Janota & husband Garry of Magnolia, TX; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and 7 step children, Clint & Sandee Janecek of Birmingham, AL., Tim & Terry Janecek of Austin, TX, Dave & Leah Janecek of Shiner, TX, Annette & Michael O'Shea of Sugar Land TX, Barb & Joe Chrastecky of Shiner TX, Patty & Vic Berger of Aransas Pass, TX, and Kim & Rick Reeves of Victoria, TX.

Dan was preceded in death by: first wife of 52 years, Laura Boyle on September 5, 2001; his second wife of 8 years, Benita Janecek on July 27, 2011; parents; 11 siblings; and grandson Scott Daniel Strode.

Funeral Mass Service: 10 am, Saturday, April 16, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation: 5 pm, Friday, at Kubena Funeral Home with Rosary starting at7 pm. Officiant: Msgr. John Peters. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
