Damas Partida Garcia

Damas Partida Garcia, 92, of Hallettsville passed away on March 3, 2026. She was born to Juan & Teresa Herrera Partida on December 11, 1933, in Lavaca County, Texas. She graduated from Hallettsville High School. She worked in managerial positions throughout her career. She married David Garcia Jr. on December 16, 1988.

Damas was preceded in death by: her parents; sisters, Paula Loya, Blanche Alvarez, Christine Rivera and Mary De La Rosa and brothers, Sylvester, Lupe and Tom Partida.

Damas is survived by: her loving husband David Garcia Jr.; her sister Ramona Hernandez; numerous nieces & nephews and her two close friends, Mary Caro and Belinda Sewell, who were by her side during her illness.

Damas will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and dedication to those she loved.

Funeral Mass Service: 11 am, Monday, March 9, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville; with Visitation starting at 9:30 am and Rosary at 10:30 am. Pallbearers: Reuben Rivera, Tom Partida Jr., Dan Hernandez, Michael De La Rosa, Bobby Silgero and Virgil Gutierrez. Cantor: JoAnn Shimek. Organist: Denise Drozd. Officiant: Rev. Christopher Bediako. Memorials: Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hospice of South Texas or Donor’s Choice. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
