Curley W. Engelhardt Sr., 77, of Hallettsville, passed away March 30, 2012. He was born on August 30, 1934 to Arthur & Emma Moeller Engelhardt in San Antonio, TX. He married Dolores Lell on July 23, 1960 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. He spent 2 years in the US Army from 1957 to 1959.

Curley is survived by: daughter Karen Engelhardt of Yoakum; son Bill Engelhardt of Hallettsville; sister Martha Lowther of San Antonio; grandchild Jessica; and companion Rosemary Mitchon.

Curley was preceded in death by: his wife Dolores; parents; and 3 brothers, Louis, Melvin and Carl.

Funeral Mass Service: 2 pm, Monday, April 2, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 4 pm, Sunday at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosary: 5 pm, Sunday at Kubena Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Lavern Scott, Michael Hammer, Kenneth Mertz, William Henley, Scott Bradberry, and Eugene Dworsky. Honorary Pallbearers: all his nieces & nephews, and his pigeon flying buddies. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Memorials: Hospice of South Texas or Cal Farley's Boys Ranch. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
