Curley William Engelhardt Jr., 58, of Hallettsville, passed away June 18, 2020.  He was born on October 8, 1961, to Curley W. & Dolores Lell Engelhardt Sr., in San Antonio.  He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville.

duated from John Marshall High School in San Antonio in 1979.  He later graduated from University of Texas San Antonio with a bachelor I Psychology.  He retired from Bexar County after 25 years of service in the Juvenile Probation.  He loved animals, traveling, sports and reading.  He was diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2014, and been on dialysis for 6 years.

Curley is survived by; his sister Karen Engelhardt, niece Jessica Engelhardt, and great nephew Wyatt Kacir.

Curley was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Mass Service: 1:30 pm, Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville; with Visitation starting at 12 noon, and Rosary starting at 1 pm. Pallbearers: William Henley, Mike Hoffman, Kenny Lyssy, Paul Pilat, John McCaskill and Gary Praasek. Officiant: Msgr. John Peters. Memorials: National Kidney Foundation or Donor's Choice. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
