Connie McComb Phillips, 72, of Hallettsville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 6, 2022.  She was born on December 14, 1949, in San Antonio, TX, to John R. & Mildred McComb.

Connie met Bill Phillips, the love of her life at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX.  On May 24, 1969.  They got married in San Antonio, soon after their wedding, the newlyweds began their life together in Vienna, TX.

Connie enjoyed her time with family and friends, playing bingo, going to casinos and scratching lotto tickets.  She loved and cherished spending time with her grandkids, whether it was watching a movie with them, playing board games, helping with math homework, you named it she did it.  She was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

Connie is survived by; her husband Bill, son Billy Phillips & wife Debbie, granddaughter Miranda, grandson Wade, brother Paul McComb & wife Barbara, and 2 nephews Chris McComb and Michael McComb.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents and sister Patrica Tunnell.

Graveside service: 11 am, Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Hallettsville City Cemetery. Pallbearers: Tramer Woytek, Harvey Foster, Larry Smith, Ross Sommers, Randy Henke and Jason Sims. Honorary Pallbearers: Edward McCrumb Jr., Robert Nicholson, Arnold Supak and David Pohl. Officiant: Pastor Herb Beyer. Memorials (in lieu of flowers): Charity of your choice.
