Clifton Julius Sevcik, 94, of Hallettsville, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025.  He was born on August 10, 1930, to the late Julius & Lois Kovarek Sevcik in Lavaca County, Texas.  He married Bernice Ann Ehler on November 22, 1953.  He was a member of the St. Peter Lutheran Church, of Hallettsville.

Clifton loved his family and enjoyed every moment with them.  He spent many years working for The City of Hallettsville.  He was a true Cowboys fan, and he never turned down a sweet treat.  He will be greatly missed by all those who loved him.

Clifton is survived by:  his children, Forest Sevcik & wife Carol of Hallettsville, Curtis Sevcik & wife Elva of Hempstead, Dennis Sevcik of Hempstead, Michael Sevcik & wife Manlika of Hallettsville, Karen Friar & husband Joseph of Victoria and Donna Rainosek & husband Andrew of Hallettsville; grandchildren, Angela Sevcik, Colleen (Sevcik) Garcia & husband Adrain, Drew Sevcik & wife Meryl, Brandon Sevcik & partner Martha, Ashlee (Sevcik) Arter & husband Kyle, Whitney (Rainosek) Downing & husband Charles, Chase Rainosek & wife Elise, Christian Friar, Celton Rainosek & fiancé Allie, Bailey (Sevcik) Appling & husband Dustin and Keith Sevcik & wife Kelsie; great grandchildren, Kegan Garcia, Caden Garcia, Camille Garcia, Jaxon Sevcik, Logan Sevcik, Evan Sevcik and Knox Sevcik; and brother Alton Sevcik.

Clifton was preceded in death by; his parents, wife Bernice Sevcik, daughter-in-law Annette Sevcik and granddaughter Emma Friar.

Funeral Service: 2 pm, Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Kubena Funeral Home of Hallettsville with Visitation starting at 12 noon. Officiant: Pastor Herb Beyer. Pallbearers: Angela Sevcik, Colleen Garcia, Drew Sevcik, Chase Rainosek, Celton Rainosek and Keith Sevcik. Memorials: Donor's Choice. Burial: Hallettsville City Cemetery.
