Obituary

Charles Ray "Buddy" Rohan, 78, of Hallettsville, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008 in Hallettsville. He was born March 9, 1930 in Yoakum to the late Louis & Lenora Hermes Rohan. He married Willie Mae Novak Migl on March 28, 1968 in Schulenburg. He joined the US Army and serviced in the Korean War. He was a member of Sweet Home American Legion.

Buddy drove a taxicab, was a fireman and truck driver. He retired from Migl Feed and Grain in January 2003. After retirement he would go to Migl's and visit with his friends. He loved to go to Coushatta to play slot machines. He loved to go driving in the countryside, spend time with his family especially with his grandkids and great grandson. He loved sitting on his front porch, spoiling his grandkids and going fishing. He loved his yearly vacation to Rockport to spend time with his family.

Buddy was a wonderful dad and granddad. He was very honest and easy going, and loved to joke with everyone. He would affectionately call his son and daughter-in-laws his "outlaws".

Buddy is survived by his wife Willie Mae; daughter Sheri Beyer & husband David; 3 sons, Jerry Lee Migl & wife Brenda, Larry Migl & wife Marie, and Donnie Migl & wife LeAnn; 8 grandchildren, Nathan, Kylee and Seth Beyer; Gary Migl, Megan Migl, James Migl, Wes Migl, Will Migl; and great grandson Clayton Migl; and 2 sisters, Ruby Jiral, and Dorothy Janca & husband Joe all of Yoakum.

Buddy was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Lois Moore and Ursula Reiber; and 4 brothers, Jack, Victor, Paul and Douglas Rohan.

Service: 2 pm, Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008, at Kubena Funeral Home. Visitation: 3 pm, Saturday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Rosary: 7 pm, Saturday at Kubena Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Bobby Jiral, Larry Jiral, Eddie Jiral, Henry Kostelnik Jr., Ronnie Klekar, and Wesley Adams. Honorary Pallbearers: grandchildren, great-grandson, Frank H. & Elrose Migl, and the employees of Migl Feed and Grain. Memorials: St. Joseph Catholic Church of Moulton or Donor's Choice. Burial: Hallettsville City Cemetery.
