Charles Ray "Chalsey" Koerth, Sr., 73, of Hallettsville, passed away September 19, 2019. He was born August 17, 1946, to the late Ervin and Pauline Prasek Koerth in Hallettsville, Texas.

Charles enjoyed trips to the casino, camping with family at the lake, and spending time with his friends at Blase's Place. He took great pride in his grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to spoil them with ice cream, peanut butter crackers, pretzels and $2 bills. Charles loved telling the grandkids stories about how he lost his leg and showing them his prosthetic leg.

Charles is survived by: 3 sons, Charles Koerth Jr. & wife Daphne, Scott Koerth & wife Jennifer, and John Paul Koerth & wife Amanda; 2 sisters, Sharon Rother & husband Marvin and Karen Haley & husband Ed; brother Larry Koerth & wife Sandra; grandkids, Amberlie, Clint, Jillian, Abigail, Taylor Peyton, Riley, Jaxton and great-grandchildren.

Charles was preceded in death by; his parents Ervin and Pauline Parsec Koerth, brother Eugene Koerth and daughter Peggy Sue Carpenter.

Memorial Funeral Service : 10 am, Monday, September 23, 2019, Kubena Funeral home, with Visitation starting at 9 am. Officiant: Pastor Herbert Beyer. Fellowship: to follow at St. Peter Lutheran Fellowship Hall of Hallettsville. Memorials: can be made to the family of Charles Koerth, Sr.
