Cathie Lorraine (Sorrells) Gagne, 61, of Hallettsville, our loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and soon to be great-grandmother, was taken home on June 23, 2021.  She was born June 12, 1960 in Malvern Arkansas to Thelma (Smith) Skaines and Oscar Sorrells.  She was Thelma's only child, and the oldest of Oscar's 5.  Thelma moved Cathie as a kid to Texas where she has been ever since, except for numerous visits home to Arkansas to see family.  She was a loving mother to her two children Crystal and Joey, and grandmother to 6 beautiful girls, besides the many others who called her mom or nonna, since her door was always open and welcoming.

Cathie is survived by: her mother Thelma Skaines; father Oscar Sorrells; son Joseph (Joey) Gagne; daughter Crystal Gagne; 2 brothers, Calvin Sorrells Sr. and Jason Standridge; sister Jamie Sewell; 6 grandchildren, Alexis Knochel (Gregory Harvel), Skylar Knochel, Dakota Knochel, Shelby Knochel, Layla Gagne, and Kinsley Gagne; and great-grandbaby Harvel, who she went to kiss before they were sent to earth..

Cathie was preceded in death by; step father Edward Skaines, and brother Erwin Sorrells.

Funeral Service: 2 pm, Sunday, June 27, 2021, at Kubena Funeral Home of Hallettsville; with; with Visitation starting at 1pm. Pallbearers: David Patterson, Shaun Christen, Terrel Herring Jr, Edgar Tesch, William Vawters III, and Gregory Harvel. Officiant: Brother Jim Herrington. Memorials: Donor's Choice. Burial: Salem Cemetery, Ezzell Texas.
