Brenda was born on August 24, 1959, in Houston, Texas to Eugene and Shirley Orsak of Shiner, Texas. She grew up in Houston and graduated from Jersey Village High School in 1977. Brenda enjoyed children and worked at a daycare for several years. She continued to work there even after she landed a night shift job. It takes a special kind of person to work with children but it takes Brenda to be able to do it lovingly with just a few hours of sleep. Brenda later quit the daycare but remained working nights at the Federal Reserve Bank in downtown Houston for 34 years.

It was during one of Brenda's numerous weekend trips to Hallettsville that she met the love of her life, Randy Bludau, her husband of 28 years. They were married and then blessed with a daughter, Brittany Michele who became the joy of her life. Having a child of her own did not hinder the time and love that she gave to all her nephews and nieces. It was typical of Brenda to plan her vacations around their sporting events. Brenda shows her support and unconditional love in and outside of their activities.

She is survived by her husband, Randall J. Bludau; her daughter, Brittany Bludau; her parents, Eugene and Shirley Orsak; siblings, Sandra Barton, Robert Orsak, Donna Desselles, Kris Willis and Lisa Sebek; several brother and sister-in-laws; 22 nieces and nephews; 12 great nieces and nephews.

Brenda enjoyed being with her family and friends and making people happy. Her gentle nature and genuine smile are evidence that she is a beautiful person inside and out.

Funeral Mass Service: 2 pm, Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 5 pm, Friday, and 7 am to 12:30 pm Sunday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosary: 7 pm, Friday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Pallbearers: Blayne Sebek, Kyle Desselles, Karey Desselles, Donnie Orsak, Kenny Orsak, Blake Willis, Chad Svetlik, and Tyler Bludau. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Memorials: Donor's choice.
