Brazos Kash Wood, 16, of Hallettsville, was tragically killed in a car accident near Hallettsville, Texas, on November 07, 2019. He was born to Kelly and Becky in Victoria, Texas on September 16, 2003. He grew up in the Hallettsville area attending public school through the 7th grade and home schooled thereafter.

Brazos was an unconventional teenager. Most recently Brazos worked at Klesel Auto Truck and Tractor in Schulenburg Texas, first on the shop floor and then in the parts department. He was building a mudding truck with his beloved Grandpa and dirt biking was his all-time favorite. He was smart, fearless, funny, and could put a smile on anyone's face. Those that knew Brazos best were his closest friends Garrison, Robbie, Justin, Michael, Wesley, Keith, Kelsey and Case who can tell you how "MINT" Brazos was.

Brazos is survived by: his mother Becky of Hallettsville; half-brother Shelby Wood of Colorado; his family Uncles, Daryl Wagner & his wife Annette of La Ward, Texas, and Dean Wagner & his wife Gwen and daughter Jordyn of Des Moines Iowa; Cousin Tyler Wagner of Austin Texas; and Grandparents Lawrence & Marcella Wagner of Hallettsville, Texas..

Brazos is preceded in death by his father, Kelly Wood of Gonzales, Texas. Kelly was sadly killed in a car accident on December 10, 2010, in Gonzales County at which time Brazos was 7 years old.

The family of Brazos would like to express sincere gratitude to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church that assisted Brazos and his family. We would also like to send a special thank you to the First Responders; Lavaca County Rescue, Lavaca Sheriff, DPS, ER Staff and Jodie Webb for contacting Becky immediately following the accident. Funeral Mass Service : 11 am, Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 5 pm, Tuesday at Kubena Funeral Home, with Rosary starting at 7 pm. Pallbearers: Greg Stepanek, Mark Janak, Grant Janak, Joe Prihoda, Tyler Wagner, Keith Sevcik, Tyler Jones and Matt Mason. Officiant: Msgr. John Peters. Memorials: Hospice of South Texas or donor's choice.
