Boyce J. Rother Sr., 87, of Hallettsville, passed away Feb. 21, 2012. He was born on Jan. 29, 1925 to Paul A. & Jessie Wessels Rother in Hallettsville. He married Anita Kloesel on Sept. 15, 1952 at St. Mary's Church in Victoria. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US Navy. He retired from DuPont, after 33 years working as an Instrument Mechanic. He was member of the American Legion Post #230 and St. Peter Lutheran Church of Hallettsville.

Boyce is survived by: wife Anita; 3 sons, Boyce Rother Jr. & wife Linda of Hallettsville, Bob Rother & wife Martha of Victoria, and Mark Rother & wife Kim of Victoria; 6 grandchildren, Hayley Platt, Jeremy Rother, Kyle Rother, Kevin Rother, Garrett Rother, and Cory Rother; 1 great grandchild Madelyn; 5 step grandchildren; and 8 step great grandchildren.

Boyce was preceded in death by: his parents and brother Wessel Paul Rother.

Funeral Service: 1:30 pm, Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at Kubena Funeral Home. Visitation: 4 pm, Friday at Kubena Funeral Home. Prayer Service: 7 pm, Friday at Kubena Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Hayley Platt, Kyle Rother, Kevin Rother, Garrett Rother, Paul Rother, and Jack Rother. Honorary Pallbearers: Cory Rother, Trey Brown, and Jeremy Rother. Officiate: Rev. Dr. Alan Williams. Memorials: St. Peter Lutheran Church or Hospice of South Texas. Burial: Hallettsville City Cemetery.
