Billie attended school in Sublime until eighth grade and graduated from Hallettsville High School, Class of 1951. She then attended the University of Corpus Christi. Billie worked as a real estate agent in Irving and Coppell before retiring to Bandera. Billie was especially close to her grandmother, Mae Reese.

She is survived by: daughter Robyn Rivers of Horseshoe Bay: son Michael Rivers of Lantana, Florida: brother Wesley Buchanek of Sublime; sister Patricia David of Rockville, Maryland; niece Karin David Walker of Rockville, Maryland; and nephews, Christian and Teddy David of Rockville, Maryland.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
