Obituary

Betty Jean Teltschick, 95, of Hallettsville, passed away September 16, 2020.  She was born on October 29, 1924, to Walter & Bertha Rogers, in Port Arthur, Texas.  She married Frank Edward Teltschick, on January 11, 1944, in Port Arthur.  She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville for over 40 years.  Her brother Walter "Sonny" Rogers was a deacon at Sacred Heat, where he and his wife Elaine were very active.

Betty worked at Texaco Refinery in Port Arthur, in the blueprint department during World War II.  After the war, Betty was a housewife and busy mom, taking care of her family.  She enjoyed vacations with her family, along with her sister Genevieve and her husband Garland Davis.

Betty is survived by: her daughter Carol Jean Teltschick; 2 sons, Jerry Edward Teltschick and David Lee Teltschick; 7 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by; her parents, husband, brother, and sister

Funeral Mass Service (All attendees must wear masks): 10:30 am, Friday, September 18, 2020, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville; with Rosary starting at 10 am. Visitation: 5 pm, Thursday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Jerry Teltschick, David Teltschick, Jim Bridwell, Emily Teltschick, Jamie Metreyeon, and Meagan Arredondo. Officiant: Msgr. John Peters. Memorials: Donor's Choice. Burial: Speaks Cemetery.
