Hubert and Betty were owners of Schulte's Mobil Station in Hallettsville. She also enjoyed yard work, needlepoint, sewing, church work at St. Peter Lutheran Church, and the coast around Rockport, Texas. Her last job was at Clothes Etc., were she enjoyed being a salesperson to meet and talk with people, and working with clothing and gifts.
Betty is survived by:
Daughter Paula Parkinson & husband David of Hallettsville, granddaughter Laura Ann and grandson Michael Paul of Hallettsville, and step-granddaughters Jessica Parkinson and Dian Gardner of Victoria.
Son Barry Ray Schulte of Woodlands, Texas; granddaughter Wendy DuBose & husband John of Spring, Texas, and great-grandchild Jamie; grandson Gary Schulte & wife Julie of Spring, Texas, great-grandchildren Stefani, Miranda, Cheyenne, and Zachary.
Son Randall Neumeyer Schulte & wife Dulcie of Columbus, Texas; granddaughter Krisite Geisler & husband Jason of Columbus, great-grandchildren Colson and Conner; granddaughter Kimberly Langford & husband Henry John of Lometa, Texas, and great-grandchild Brock; and grandson Blake Schulte of Columbus.
4 nieces and 1 nephew.
Betty was preceded in death by: husband Hubert "Ponnie" (September 6, 1985); parents Alfred & Hilda Metz Neumeyer Sr.; and brother Alfred Neumeyer Jr.
Service: 2pm, Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hallettsville. Visitation: 5pm, Monday at Kubena Funeral Home. Prayer Service: 7pm, Monday at Kubena Funeral Home. Burial: Hallettsville City Cemetery. Officiate: Rev. Herb Beyer. Pallbearers: Charles Neumeyer, Josh Neumeyer, Arrell Shirley, Joel Duke, Nicholas Duke, and Robert Haas. Honorary Pallbearers: Jason Geisler, Henry John Langford, Gary Schulte, Blake Schulte, Michael Parkinson, John DuBose, Brandon Fay, and Weldon Duke
