IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bessie Ann
Mozisek
April 12, 1913 – June 9, 2008
Bessie Ann met Frank Mozisek at a Worthing dance hall. On October 27, 1936, Bessie married Frank James Mozisek in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of St. Mary's Community. Together they purchased their homestead in Worthing, Texas, where they spent 69 wonderful years together, until his death on April 5, 2006. They were blessed with 3 children; Franklin James, Dolores Ann, and Mildred Margaret Mozisek.
Bessie was a lifelong homemaker. She loved gardening, caring for her roses, growing delicious strawberries, and raising chickens so she had eggs to make noodles. Bessie especially loved to cook and was gifted in the kitchen. Numerous nieces and nephews can remember going to Aunt Bessie's for her chicken noodle soup, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and kolaches. Bessie enjoyed playing bingo at Blasé's Place on Sunday night and was one of the bingo cooks for many years. People especially enjoyed Bessie's pickles, kolaches, and strudels. Many jars of her pickles were auctioned off at the St. Mary's picnic over the years. She attended Vysehrad School and thru her life remained interested in all events involving the school. Bessie served as an officer of the KJZT St. Barbara's Lodge #63 for many years.
Bessie is survived by son Franklin James Mozisek and wife Vivian; grandchildren Teri Mozisek Goodwin, Franklin Jason Mozisek, and Kimberley Petty Garner and husband Jay; step-grandchildren Robin Hagan, Joy H. Ponton and husband Kelley; great-grandchildren Justin and Kelsey Garner; step-great-grandchildren Austin and Morgan Ponton. Bessie is also survived by her brother Blasé Konvicka Sr. and wife Margaret; sister-in-law Viola Konvicka; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
