Bessie "Alice" (Balusek) Hinze was born March 10, 1936 to Emil and Lena Brownson Balusek. She passed away August 26, 2018. Alice married Herbert "Doc" Hinze on February 20, 1953.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Herbert Wayne "Herbie" Hinze, sister Annie Sherrill, brothers Bates Balusek and Edwin Balusek.
She is survived by her husband Herbert Hinze, daughters Rida Chovanetz (James), Cheryl Orchard (Clarence), Vickie Arndt, Tammie Hruzek (Bubba) and son Darryl Hinze (Pam). Grandchildren Michelle, Jason, Jefferey, Rebecca, Nathan, Paul, Matthew, Brittaney, Haley, Courtney, Megan, Barrett, Helena and Emalina. Great-grandchildren Corey, Celeste, Brianna, Jase, Gwyn, Blythe, Kylie, Constance, Colton, Jacob, Olivia, Jonathan, Haylee, Caleb, Zachary, Lilah, and Annabelle. Brother Alton Balusek and many nieces and nephews.
Alice was active in the community volunteering all her life. She was an avid Bingo player. If there was a sport her children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren were in, you would see her cheering in the stands.

Funeral services: 10 am, Friday, August 31, 2018, at Kubena Funeral Home in Hallettsville, Texas. Visitation: 6 pm to 8pm, Thursday, August 30, 2018, at Kubena Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Jason Chovanetz, Jefferey Chovanetz, Sonny Palacios, Matthew Hinze, Barrett Hinze, Corey Chovanetz, and Jase Amaya. Officiant: Pastor Jared Stillions. Burial: Cheetham Cemetery, Sheridan, Texas. Donations can be made to Hospice of South Texas, Sheridan Library, Sheridan Little League or Donor's choice.
