Bennie Joe Kresta , 90, of Hallettsville, passed away Nov. 18, 2015. He was born on May 31, 1925 to Joseph & Julia Rabel Kresta. He married Helen Pauline Etzler on Nov. 25, 1947 in Hallettsville, TX.

Bennie is survived by: 1 son Eugene Kresta & wife Karla of Moulton, TX; 2 daughters Mary Ann Rother of Hallettsville and Betty Schulte & husband Arley of Hallettsville; 2 sisters Lucille Grahmann of Hallettsville and Lillian Fikac of New Braunfels, TX; 6 Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren.

Bennie was preceded in death by: his wife, parents, son in-law Arnold Rother, and sister Margie Pavlas.

Funeral Mass Service: 10 am, Monday, Nov. 23, 2015, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 3 pm, Sunday, at Kubena Funeral Home with Rosary starting at5pm. Officiant: Msgr. John Peters. Pallbearers: Brian Rother, Bradley Schulte, Travis Robinson, Patrick Bulanek, Elroy "Chuck" Grahmann, and Danny Fikac. Honorary Pallbearers: All the Great-Grandchildren. Memorials (in lieu of flowers): Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Hospice of South Texas. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
