Bennie Emil Kazmir, 66, of Sheridan, passed away Oct. 28, 2018, at University Hospital in San Antonio. He was born on July 21, 1952 in Eagle Lake, TX, to the late George & Adela Kazmir Sr. He was raised in Sheridan, and attended school in Sheridan and Altair. He married Dolores (Dee) Hernandez on Feb. 21, 1981 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville.

Bennie is survived by: his wife Dolores; daughter Paula Marie Ortiz & husband Bobby of Pasadena; son Jeffery Kazmir & Mellison Jones of Sheridan; granddaughter Trina Lynn Ortiz of Pasadena; grandson Lawrence Benjamin of Sheridan; and step grandchildren, Diamond & Randy Flores Aspen of Sheridan; brothers, Eugene Kazmir & wife JoNell of Sheridan, Billy Kazmir of Sheridan, and George Kazmir Jr. & wife Betty of Sheridan; sister Mary Ward of Sheridan; brother-in-law Curtiss Pittman; and nieces, nephews and great many friends.

Bennie was preceded in death by: his parents; sisters, Shirley Pittman and Diane Yow & husband Jimmy.

Funeral Service: 11:30 am, Monday, Nov. 5, 2018, at Kubena Funeral Home. Visitation: 4 pm, Sunday at Kubena Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Perry Hanes, David Sicko, Buddy Brocker, Bobby Ortize, Paul Rodriguez and Michael Till. Officiant: Rev. Max Landman. Memorials: Sheridan Library, Sheridan 4-H or donor's choice. Burial: Cheetham Cemetery, Sheridan Texas.
