Mrs. Benita Marie Pavlu, 91, of Hallettsville, Texas, died November 27, 2006. She was born on January 11, 1915 to O.S.T. & Annie Janisch Meyer in Shiner, Texas. She married Joseph Frank Pavlu on June 14, 1937 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville.

Benita was a member of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre, President of K.J.Z.T. – Catholic Family Fraternity of Texas for 29 years, Chairman of the Board of K.J.Z.T. for 6 years, and Catholic Daughters of Americas.

Benita is survived by Nieces and Nephews.

Benita was preceded in death by; husband Joseph Frank Pavlu (died April 30, 2002), parents O.S.T. & Annie Janisch Meyer, and infant son Joseph Dean Pavlu.

Service: 10 am, Thursday, November 30, 2006 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville. Officiates: Bishop David Fellhauer, and Fater John Peters. Visitation: Noon Wednesday at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosaries: 7 pm Wednesday at Kubena Funeral Home, and 9:30 am Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial: Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hallettsville. Pallbearers: The Knights of the Holy Sepulchre. Memorials: Sacred Heart Catholic Church or School.
