Obituary

Bea Heinzel, 81, of Hallettsville, passed away Feb. 26, 2012. She was born on Aug. 17, 1930 to John J. & Sylvia Bartos Spanihel in Hallettsville. She married Alton A. Heinzel on June 20, 1949 in Hallettsville. She was a member of Catholic Daughters of Americas, VFW/American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, K.J.Z.T., Christian Mothers, Associate of the Incardinate Word and Blessed Sacrament Sisters, Serra Club, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville.

Bea is survived by: son Gary Heinzel of Houston; daughter Glenda Cobb & husband Rodney of San Marcos; 2 brothers, Eugene Spanihel of Fayetteville and Johnny Spanihel of Houston; sister Georgie Pawlik of Houston; and grandson Jeremy Cobb of San Marcos.

Bea was preceded in death by: husband Alton; parents; and 3 brothers, Stephen, Felix, and Adolph Spanihel.

Funeral Mass Service: 10 am, Thursday, March 1, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 4 pm, Wednesday at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosaries: 7 pm, Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church; and 9:30 am, Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Pallbearers: Jeremy Cobb, Rodney Cobb, Ed Scherer, John Henke, Mike Johnson, Jerry Timm. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Memorials (in lieu of Flowers): Hospice of South Texas or Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
