Barbara Rutledge age 71 of Hallettsville, passed away on Nov. 20, 2014. Barbara was born in Pilot Grove Texas on January 3rd 1943 to the late Paul and Ella Futschek Janda. Barbara was married on January 1959 to Marcus L. Rutledge; she was married 11 years before tragically losing her husband.

After raising her children and before Barbara's illness, she worked 14 years for Stevens Nursing Center in Hallettsville; she received gratification and joy for caring and conversing with the elderly. She also enjoyed being with her family, gardening, reading and watching football.

Barbara is survived by: her daughters Kathy gray & husband Gary of Hallettsville, and Shelly Hadden of Hallettsville; son Jeffery Rutledge & wife Jackie of Yoakum; 8 grandchildren, Kayla Rutledge, Allie Rutledge, Riley Rutledge, Brian Kirkman, Amber Kirkman, Gregory Gray, Tony Hadden and Tobias Hadden; 2 nieces; 1 nephew and 6 great grandchildren.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters JoAnn Vibrock of Hallettsville and Paulette Slatter of Edna.
