IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anton C.
Honish
June 14, 1914 – August 25, 2014
Anton C. Honish, 100, of Hallettsville, passed away Aug. 25, 2014. He was born on June 14, 1914 to Joseph & Julia Steffek Honish in Lavaca County, Texas. He married Frances Wick on Oct. 8, 1935 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. He was a farmer and rancher for most of his life and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville.
Anton can be truly described as an outdoors man. From his long life of gardening, to farming, to his first bale of cotton, the content of his true life lessons have been shared and not forgotten. Living next to the Lavaca River for most of his life a person can only imagine that fishing became part of his daily life. His talents of hunting deer or squirrels were also a treat ever since he was a boy with tiny little feet. So as we reflect on our moments and thoughts, one thing for certain, lots of memories we've got. We all love him; we will all miss him, but will always have stories to remember.
Anton is survived by: son James E. Honish & wife Mary of Hallettsville; 2 grandchildren, Randy Honish & wife Carolyn of Round Rock, and Sherri Honish Grahmann & husband Douglas of Hallettsville; and 3 great grandchildren, Tyler & Cole Grahmann and Kalina Honish.
