Obituary

Anton "Tony" A. Havel, 75, of Houston, passed away April 22, 2012. He was born on January 28, 1937 to Louis & Anita Haas Havel in Lavaca County, Texas. He married Annie Mae Rabel on February 19, 1966 at St Michael's Catholic Church of Weimer, Texas. He was a member of Sweet Home American Legion, KJT, and St. Ambrose Catholic Church of Houston.

Tony is survived by: his wife of 46 years; 3 brothers, Charles W. Havel of Yoakum, Marcus B. Havel & wife Pat of Houston, and Johnny D. Havel & wife Anna Mae of Hallettsville; numerous nieces & nephews; and his canine companion (Yellow Labrador Retriever), Sandy.

Tony was preceded in death by: his parents; 2 brothers, Joseph & Louis Havel, and sister-in-law Ginny Havel (Louis's wife).

Funeral Mass Service: 10 am, Thursday, April 26, 2012, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church of Sweet Home, Texas. Visitation: 4 pm, Wednesday at Kubena Funeral Home. Prayer Service: 7 pm, Wednesday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. Tim Kosler. Pallbearers: Blaine Rabel, Jay Esterak, Matt Ramsey, Chris Havel, Christian Rabel, Johnny Havel Jr., Roy Drabek, and Joseph Havel. Honorary Pallbearers: Lloyd Jones, Steve Rabel, Hunter Havel, Hayden Havel, and Garrett Drabek. Burial: 11:30 am, Monday, April 30, 2012 at Houston National Cemetery.
