Annie V. Sokol, 88, of Hallettsville, passed away April 7, 2013. She was born on August 29, 1924 to Frank & Rosie Hnatek Orsak in the Mont Community. She married Ferdinand "Ferd" Sokol on August 11, 1947 in Hallettsville. She was a member of the Czech Moravian Brethren Church of Vsetin.

Annie was known as "Ann" by family and friends. Ann enjoyed many hobbies and talents including needle work, floral arrangement and furniture restoration. In her later years she enjoyed collecting dolls.

Ann is survived by: 1 sister Julia Timm; nieces & nephews, Sherry T. Henke, Landra Immanhauser, Suzanne Pawlik, Keevan and David Timm, Tommie and Ernie Ehlinger, and Freybert Orsak; and numerous relatives & friends.

Ann was preceded in death by: her husband Ferd; parents; 2 brothers, Victor and Ernest Orsak; 2 sisters, Vlasta "Pat" Ehlinger and Lillie Evans; and nephew Martin Wayne Orsak.

Graveside Service: 2 pm, Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Hallettsville City Cemetery. Officiate: Rev. Mark Labaj. Memorials: Hallettsville Volunteer Fire Department, Hallettsville V.F.W., or Czech Moravian Brethren Church of Vsetin.
