Obituary

Annie Ruth Pohl Wagner, 76, of Hallettsville, passed away March 13, 2013. She was born on Nov. 6, 1936 to Henry & Ida Bell Pohl in Ezzell. She married Charles V. Wagner on Nov. 10, 1956 in Hallettsville. She was a Jehovah Witness.

Annie Ruth graduated from Renger Memorial LVN School of Nursing in Hallettsville and made a wonderful, caring nurse. She was a devoted wife, loving and caring mother, a wonderful grandmother and great grandmother. She assisted with the family ranch and enjoyed being around the cattle.

Annie is survived by: her husband Charles Wagner; daughter Barbara Wagner of Hallettsville; 2 sons, Stephen Wagner & wife Charolette of Baytown, and David Wagner & wife Sherrie of Ezzell; 3 brothers, Henry O. Pohl, James A. Pohl & wife Frances, and Jesse A. Pohl & wife Lupe, all of Ezzell; 2 sisters, Ida Ellen McKalip & husband Robert of Austin, and Mary Alice Raschke & husband David of Lockhart; 2 grandchildren, Stephanie Thamm, and Jonathon Wagner; and 4 great grandchildren, Mason Wagner, Nicholas Thamm, Angel Thamm, and Braden Thamm.

Annie was preceded in death by: her parents and son George Wagner.

Funeral Service: 10 am, Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Kubena Funeral Home. Visitation: 4 pm, Friday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. Terry Bell. Pallbearers: Brian McKalip, Jim Pohl, Karl Pohl, Matthew Pohl, Brent Raschke, and Stephen Wagner. Honorary Pallbearers: Jason Raschke, Kurt Regenbrecht. Memorials (In lieu of Flowers) : J.J. Pohl Scholarship Fund in care of Linda Pohl. Burial: Salem Cemetery.
