Annette Marie McCrumb, 71 of Hallettsville passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 12, 2017. She was born in East Bernard, TX on April 3, 1945 to John and Hilda Ladish. On July 14, 1963 she married Edward McCrumb, Sr. in Taft, TX.

Annette was a homemaker for most of her life, and for a time worked as a bookkeeper for Michael's Stores in Houston. She was known as "MeMa" to her family and over the years lovingly provided childcare for several of her grandchildren and extended family. She and Edward retired to Hallettsville where she loved having her grandchildren spend weekends and summers with them at their ranch in Vienna. She also spent a number of years helping care for her parents and mother-in-law as they aged. She loved her dachshunds, Bo and Buffy, and enjoyed crocheting, cooking and growing plants and flowers.

Annette is survived by her 5 children, Blake McCrumb & wife Debbie, Susan Chandler & husband Kirk, Edward McCrumb Jr. & wife Debi, Donna Freeman & husband David, and Tammy Sellers & husband Lee. She has 14 grandchildren, Jonathan McCrumb, Christopher McCrumb, Stacy Bracewell, Bret Chandler, Kyle Chandler, Amy Chandler, Matthew Freeman (deceased), Taylor Sieling, Ryan Sieling, Jessica Sieling, James Santhoff, Jason Santhoff, Sarah Huelett, and Justin Santhoff; and 16 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Joan Graves and Margaret Perkins both of Hallettsville.

Annette is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward McCrumb, Sr., her brother Leonard Ladish and her grandson Matthew Freeman.

MeMa, you will forever be in our hearts. We love you always.

Funeral Service: 10 am, Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, at Kubena Funeral Home; with Visitation: 4 pm, Sunday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiant: Rev. Charles Hines. Pallbearers: Ryan Sieling, Bret Chandler, Kyle Chandler, Jonathan McCrumb, Christopher McCrumb, James Santhoff, Jason Santhoff, and Justin Santhoff. Memorials: Donor's Choice. Burial: Willow Creek Cemetery.
