November 18, 1923 – September 22, 2012
Anne was a member of the Texas Extension Education Association, formerly known as the Extension Homemakers, for 55 years and served as secretary/treasurer for most of that time. She worked diligently for the club and thoroughly enjoyed the activities. Her last meeting she attended was on Jan. 2012, and she never missed a meeting or function, unless she was ill.
Anne enjoyed doing handwork and arts & crafts. She will be remembered for her embroidery work and Kleenex box corners which she did for pastime.
Anne is survived by: daughter Susan Technik of Hallettsville; brother Frank Zaruba & wife Rita of Hallettsville; 9 grandchildren, Trey Rainosek, Gwen Holt & husband William, Josh Kremling, Hannah Cooper, Nailene Cooper, April Cooper, Nailer Cooper III, Bonnie Cooper, and Michael (MJ) Cooper; and 1 great grandchild Caitlynn Holt.
Anne was preceded in death by: her husband Julius; parents; 3 brothers, George at infancy, Robert and Joe F. Zaruba Jr.; and sister Helen M. Appelt.
Funeral Mass Service: 2 pm, Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 4 pm, Sunday at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosary: 6 pm, Sunday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Msgr. John Peters. Pallbearers: William Technik, Ronnie Technik, Clarence Blume, Jack Zaruba, Jimmy Appelt, and Nailer Cooper III. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Hallettsville. Memorials: Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville or Blue Bonnet Youth Ranch.
