Anita Margaret Rother, 93, of Hallettsville, passed away March 20, 2019. She was born on January 13, 1926 to Frank J. & Rosa Kloesel in Shiner. She married Boyce J. Rother Sr., on September 15, 1952 at St. Mary's in Victoria. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville.

Anita is survived by: 3 sons, Boyce Rother Jr. & wife Linda of Hallettsville, Bob Rother & wife Martha of Victoria, and Mark Rother & wife Kim of Victoria; 6 grandchildren, Hayley Platt, Jeremy Rother, Kyle Rother, Kevin Rother, Cory Rother, and Garrett Rother; 6 great grandchildren, Madelyn & Gabriella (Lulu) Platt, Molly & Olivia Rother, Scarlett Rother, Hudson Rother; 5 step grandchildren; 8 step great grandchildren; and 4 step great great grandchildren.

Anita was preceded in death by: her husband Boyce Sr., her parents; great grandson Mason Gene Rother; and 2 sisters, Evelyn Barfield and Wilma Sonntag.

Visitation: 4 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday at Kubena Funeral Home; 1 pm to 2 pm on Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. Funeral Mass Service: 2:30 pm, Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church; with Rosary starting at 2 pm, before the service. Pallbearers: Hayley Platt, Kyle Rother, Kevin Rother, Garrett Rother, Paul Rother, and Jack Rother. Honorary Pallbearers: Cory Rother, Trey Brown and Jeremy Rother. Officiate: Msgr. John Peters. Memorial (in lieu of flowers): Hospice of South Texas or Donor's Choice. Burial: Hallettsville City Cemetery.
