Anita J Bohuslav, of Hallettsville, passed away on August 22, 2019 at the age of 96. She was born in Hallettsville on August 6, 1923 to Jaro and Louise Trlica Matejek. She married Ernest J. Bohuslav on May 5, 1942 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville.

Anita graduated from Hallettsville High School in 1941. She married Ernest J. Bohuslav on May 5, 1942 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She taught school for several years, worked for the City of Hallettsville, Weingarten Inc., and First National Bank until her retirement in 1986.

Anita is survived by: a sister, Melba Roberts of Maryland; son Ronald G. Bohuslav & wife Judy of Montgomery; grandsons, Ryan Bohuslav & wife Sarah of Montgomery, Kevan Bohuslav & wife Stefanie of Conroe, and Josh Bohuslav of Montgomery; and 4 great grandchildren, Hailey, Carson, Kaleb and Grayson Bohuslav.

Anita was preceded in death by: her husband Ernest Bohuslav; parents; 2 brothers, George Matejek and Billy Matejek; 2 sisters, Lucille Kocian and Gladys Ann Matejek; and great granddaughter Kylie Bohuslav.

Anita was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville, Catholic Daughters of Americas, KJZT, Christian Mothers, and Hallettsville Right to Life.

Funeral Mass Service : 11:30 am, Monday, Aug. 26, 2019, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 5 pm, Sunday at Kubena Funeral Home; with the Rosary starting at 6 pm. Pallbearers: Ryan Bohuslav, Kevan Bohuslav, Josh Bohuslav, Darrell Bohuslav, Gary Patek and Paul Matejek. Honorary Pallbearers : great grandchildren; Hailey, Carson, Kaleb and Grayson Bohuslav. Officiant: Msgr. John Peters. Memorials: Donor's choice. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
