Obituary

Mrs. Angeline Chudej Pustejovsky, 83, of Hallettsville, passed away on Wednesday, May 09, 2007, after complications from recently fractured hip. She was born on August 19, 1923 in Engle, Texas to Louis & Bertha Kastner Chudej. On February 13, 1944, she married Fred Pustejovsky Sr. at Sacred Heart Church in Hallettsville. They operated their own business, Pustejovsky Motor Company for 37 years.

Angeline was known to her husband as "Honey", "Sweetheart", and "Wife", to her children as "Mommie", to her grandchildren and great grandchildren as "Granny", and to all her nieces and nephews as "Aunt Angeline". She worked in the family business, Pustejovsky Motor Company, for 37 years. She was the bookkeeper and chief cashier. In her younger years, she liked to do the Search-a-word puzzles. Whenever someone talked about her pickles, she would usually give them a jar of her priceless pickles. She also loved to play "42" dominoes with neighbors and friends.

Angeline is survived by her husband of 63 years, Fred Pustejovsky Sr.; two daughters, Anna Klekar (Daniel) of Hallettsville, and Carol Grones (Leon) of Victoria; son Fred Pustejovsky Jr. of Flatonia; two sisters, Justine Drain of Chandler, Arizona, and Jeffrey Harvey of Denton, Louisiana; 6 grandchildren, Kris McCarty (Ben) of College Station, Leah Bordovsky (RL) of Victoria, Bradley Pustejovsky (Holly) of Hallettsville, Rodney Grones of Boerne, Angela Hayek (Todd) of Cedar Park, and Rusty Grones of Houston; 9 great grandchildren, Dayly & Derek Dickinson, Joshua & Jacob Bordovsky; Keaton, Katelyn, & Kole Pustejovsky, and Dalton & McKenzie Hayek.

Angeline was preceded in death by her son Bernard James Pustejovsky in 1947; her parents; two sisters, Faustine Pauler and Agnes Froelich; and brother Edward "Sonny" Chudej.

Service: 10 am, Friday, May 11, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation: Noon, Thursday at Kubena Funeral Home, with the family receiving visitors at 4pm. Rosaries: 7 pm, Thursday at Kubena Funeral Home; and 9:30 am, Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Pallbearers: Bradley Pustejovsky, Rodney Grones, Rusty Grones, RL Bordovsky, Todd Hayek, Derek Dickinson, Ben McCarty and Mark Drain. Honorary Pallbearers: Nieces, Nephews, Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren. Memorials: Hospice of South Texas.
