Obituary

Alvina Sophie Klitsch, 93, of Hallettsville, passed away Jan. 2, 2010. She was born on Oct. 28, 1916 to Joseph & Bertha Spies Klitsch near Breslau Community. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at St John Lutheran, in Shiloh; and a member of Herman Son's Lodge for 57 years. She was also a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church of Hallettsville.

Alvina is survived by her sister Hilda Schmidt of Navasota; sister-in-laws, Wilma Klitsch of Hallettsville, and Mary Klitsch of Houston; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Alvina was preceded in death by: her parents; 2 sisters, Frieda Marek and Nora Klitsch; and 3 brothers, Edwin, Edgar, and Walter Klitsch.

Visitation: 9 am, Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010, at St. Peter Lutheran Church. Funeral Service: 10 am, Tuesday, at St. Peter Lutheran Church. Officiate: Rev. Dr. Alan Williams. Pallbearers: Franklin Klitsch, Jackie Schmidt, Larry Wagner, Nick Grahmann, Jerome Grahmann, and Howard Spies. Memorials: St. Peters Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall Fund. Burial: Hallettsville City Cemetery.
