Alvin Charles Kohlleffel, 92, of Hallettsville, passed away May 1, 2022. He was born on Dec. 21, 1929, to Elo Ernest & Annie Leibicher Kohlleffel, in Lavaca County, Texas. He served in the US Army from Aug. 15, 1951, to May 14, 1953, in Korea. He was a member of the Moulton VFW. He also served on the Board for Texas Farm Bureau in Lavaca County. He was a constable and served the people of Precinct Two, Lavaca County for several years.
Alvin was a farmer and rancher. His passion was cattle and horses. He ran a custom hay baling business and performed many welding jobs for the people in the community and surrounding areas. He was never married but he loved spending time hunting and fishing with his nephews and nieces. One of his biggest passions was telling stories.
Alvin is survived by: his nephews and nieces; Ann Klaus (John), Alice Snook, Adolph Pavlicek (Anita), Annie Pavlicek (Daniel Smolik), Frank Pavlicek; great nephew and nieces, John T. Klaus (Betty), Van Snook (Mercedes), Paige Ortegon (Robert), Fallon Witherspoon (Shane), Colton Pavlicek (Te'a), Wyatt Pavlicek; one great nephew Maverick Pavlicek and two great nieces Fynlee Witherspoon and Evelyn.
Alvin was preceded in death by, his parents and sister Anita Lydia Pavlicek.
Funeral services : 2 pm, Friday, May 6, 2022, at Kubena Funeral Home in Hallettsville; Visitation starting at 12 Noon. Pallbearers: John T. Klaus, Van Snook, Colton Pavlicek, Wyatt Pavlicek, Shane Witherspoon, Robert Ortegon. Officiant: Pastor Jared Stillions. Burial: Old Kinkler Cemetery. Memorials (In lieu of flowers ): Old Kinkler Cemetery Association or Donor's Choice.
