Mr. Alois A. Leopold, 72, of Hallettsville, died July 30, 2007. He was born on February 12, 1935 in Hallettsville, to Alphonse T. & Clara Bludau Leopold. He married Florice Pesek Leopold on September 27, 1958 in the Queen of Peace Catholic Church of Sweet Home, Texas. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Texas National Guard, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Alois is survived by: wife Florice; 3 sons, Allan Leopold & wife Mary, Brian Leopold & wife Donna, and Steven Leopold & wife Cheryl, all of Hallettsville; 3 daughters, Karen Strieter of Houston, Sandra Fojt & husband Randy R. of Hallettsville, and Pam Bohuslav & husband Donald of Hallettsville; 3 brothers, Andy Leopold of Hallettsville, Paul Leopold of Rockdale, and Robert Leopold of Rockdale; 3 sisters, Mary Lee Supak of Hallettsville, Mildred Bollom of Houston, and Elizabeth Hermes of Hallettsville; and 13 grandchildren, Brandon Fojt, Miranda Fojt, Robby Strieter, Brooke Leopold, Paige Leopold, Reid Leopold, Kyle Leopold, Jaden Leopold, Landon Leopold, Lane Leopold, Olivia Bohuslav, Kelsey Bohuslav, and Cole Bohuslav.

Alois was preceded in death by: son Arlyn Glenn "Buck" Leopold, and parents.

Service: 10 am, Friday, August 3, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation: 1 pm, Thursday at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosaries: 7 pm, Thursday, Kubena Funeral Home; and 9:30 am, Friday at Sacred Heart Church. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Pallbearers: Brandon Fojt, Robby Strieter, Pat Bollom, Donald Leopold, Andrew Leopold, and Jimmy Leopold. Memorials: Hospice of South Texas, or Sacred Heart Catholic School.
