Alma is survived by: 2 daughters, Leona Sedlar & husband Franklin of Victoria, and Gladys Henderson & husband Bill of Austin; 2 sons, Robert Brosch & wife Eunice of Schulenburg, and Stanley Brosch & wife Rhonda of Hallettsville; 2 brothers, Lado Hlavac of Hallettsville, and Willie Hlavac of Houston; sister Agnes Holik of Hallettsville; 6 grandchildren, Donna Maxey, Jacqueline Sturm, Ricky Appelt, Rhonda Lockley, Todd Brosch, and Nicole Belicek; 9 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson.
Alma was preceded in death by: husband Victor on Oct. 2, 1996; parents; 4 sisters, Albina Hlavac, Vlasta Holik, Annie Boehm, and Mary Lee Zappe; 3 brothers, Johnnie, Raymond, and Franklin Hlavac; and close friend Mathilda Matula.
Service: 10 am, Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville. Visitation: 1 pm, Friday at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosaries: 7 pm, Friday at Kubena Funeral Home; and 9:30 am, Saturday at Sacred Heart Church. Pallbearers: Todd Brosch, Gilbert Mican, David James Maxey, Colby Strum, Larry Hlavac, Ricky Appelt, Donnie Belicek, and Marvin Holik. Honorary Pallbearers: Louis Sedlar, Edwin Brosch, Jerry Micek, Michael Hlavac, Harvey Hlavac, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandson. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Memorials: Sacred Heart Catholic School.
