Allen Brogger, 82 of Sheridan, left this world on January 17, 2024 after a lengthy battle with heart disease.  He was born July 14, 1941, in Hallettsville, TX.  He lived there until his high school years when he moved to Victoria, TX to attend St. Joseph High School where he graduated in 1959.

Allen married Patricia Prichard and they had two children, Sheila Schons and David (Ann) Brogger.  He then married his second wife, Hazel Prichard, and gained more children, Ricky (Cindy) Prichard, Steve (Nancy) Prichard, and Randy (Susan) Prichard.

Allen and Hazel moved to Sheridan, TX and were members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville, TX.

Allen enjoyed many things in life such as gardening, fishing, playing dominoes, going to Catholic Church picnics, tinkering with old cars, and he really loved when he was on the dance floor cutting the rug at Sweet Home Hall on Sundays after church.

Allen was preceded in death by his wives Patricia and Hazel, his parents Louis and Meta (Penny) Brogger, his sister Lillian Belcik, and his grandson Charles Schons.

He is survived by his children, grandchildren, Robert Schons, Anthony Schons, Eve Brogger, Lila Brogger, Kevin Prichard, Kristy Dillard, Luke Prichard, Nicole Bullard, Josh Prichard, Jeremy Prichard, and Kristen Slaten, as well as numerous great-grandchildren.

Funeral Mass Service: 10:30 am, Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville; with Visitation starting at 9 am; and Rosary starting at 10 am. Officiant: Msgr. John Peters. Pallbearers: grandsons, Robert and Anthony Schons, Kevin, Luke, Josh, and Jeremy Prichard. Honorary pallbearers: Cliff Denton, Laurence Harris, Bob Lowell, Adolph Welfel, Larz Bullard, and Colton Slaten. Memorials (in lieu of flowers): Sacred Heart Church of Hallettsville, St. Joseph High School of Victoria or Donor's Choice. Burial: Old Kinkler Cemetery.

All are invited to a social afterwards at Sacred Heart Church Hall.
