Allen Louis Albrecht, 97, of Rosenberg, passed away July 3, 2020.  He was born on August 8, 1922, to James & Lydia Metting Albrecht in Yorktown.  He married Elizabeth Ann Borchers on July 28, 1955 in Schulenburg.  He was a proud World War II veteran and served as Hallettsville high school principal for over 30 years.

Allen is survived by:  daughter Sherry Upton & husband Van of Rosenberg; son Randall Albrecht of Kerrville; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

Allen was preceded in death by; his wife Elizabeth, parents, and brother Jessie Lee Albrecht.

Funeral Service: 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at Kubena Funeral Home in Hallettsville. Visitation: 5 p.m., Tuesday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Alexander Albrecht, Shane Albrecht, Paul Albrecht, Jeffrey Upton, Kevin Upton, and David Zak. Honorary Pallbearer: Van Upton. Officiant: Rev. Herb Beyer. Memorials: Donor's Choice. Burial: Hallettsville City Cemetery.
