Alfredo G. Arellano, 73, of Hallettsville, Texas, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the Victoria Citizens Hospital. He was born in Nueva Ecija, Philippines to Pascual and Eulogia Arellano. He lived most of his life in Talavera, Nueva Ecija, Philippines before he and his wife came here in Texas in April 2017.
Alfredo was a passionate man who enjoys serving the people in his town. He was a town treasurer for a couple of years. He also worked as an Administrative Clerk in an oil company (AramCo) in Saudi Arabia for almost 15 years. He enjoyed spending his spare time with his wife and grandchildren. Alfredo also like to surf the internet and do some research related to his work. He had a brief stint at Hallettsville Rehabilitation Center where he was training at the time of his death.
Alfredo was extremely loving to his wife Cecilia whom he was married for 42 years and proud of his children, Louie Arellano and his wife Vivian, only daughter Araceli Arellano-Lavara and husband Raymond, Arnel Arellano and wife Beth, and the youngest son Alfred Arellano and wife Jasmin. He also leaves behind grandchildren, John, Ken, Jonathan, Aldrian, James, Arianna, Arabella and Ysabella.
Alfredo's remains will be brought back home in the Philippines where the rest of his family and friends lives.
A memorial service is scheduled on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. Officiant: Monsignor John Peters.
