Albina Frances Loos, 95, of Yoakum, passed away Oct. 6, 2019. She was born on Aug. 12, 1924, to Joe J. & Julia Pohl Gold in Rabbe Switch, Lavaca County, TX. She married James S. Loos on Jan. 22, 1944, in Hallettsville. Together they raised 7 children.

Albina was a fun loving woman who loved life and her family. She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and her little dog, Penny. She shared custody of the dog with her daughter Nelda.

Albina spent time sewing, quilting, mowing grass, and working with her flowers. When not working outdoors, she canned vegetables out of her garden, and shopping at Walmart.

Albina is survived by: 2 sons, Johnny Loos & wife Paula of Moulton, and Daniel Loos & wife Barbara of Shiner; 3 daughters, Ruby Zander of Alice, Nelda Williams of Yoakum, and Susan "Bobby" High of Vardaman, MS; 17 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren.

Albina was preceded in death by: her husband James; parents; 2 daughters, Edna Mae Evans and Debra Dupree; sons-in-law, Jessie Williams, R. W. Evans Sr., and Arthur Zander; grandchildren, Terrie Wehman and Tara Zander; and great grandson James Chandler.

Funeral Service : 10 am, Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at Kubena Funeral Home of Hallettsville. Visitation: 5 pm to 7 pm, Tuesday at Kubena Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Travis Loos, Quinton Loos, Royce Evans Jr., Ron Garrett, Denver Evans, and Cody Hollenbach. Officiant: Father Dominic Antwi-Boasiak. Memorials: donor's choice. Burial: St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Koerth, TX.
