Mr. Albert J. Janak, 81, of Splendora, Texas, died Jan. 15, 2008. He was born on March 31, 1926 to John T. & Mary Smirak Janak in Koerth, Texas. He married Bessie Hammack Richardson Janak on May 20, 1966 in Harris County, Texas.

Albert is survived by: daughter Peggy Lee Arriola & husband Dan Tozer of Houston; son Bobby Richardson & wife Deborah of Splendora; brother Johnny Janak of Yorktown; 3 sisters, Lillian Kelly of Victoria, Ann Lynch of Victoria, and Mary Schmidt of Victoria; 3 grandchildren, Michael Janak & wife Diedre, David Richardson & wife Shannon, and Donna Parrish; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Albert was preceded in death by: his wife Bessie; sister Justine New; and 2 brothers, Charlie and Jim Janak.

Service: 10 am, Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Koerth, Texas. Visitation: 12 Noon, Friday at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosary: 7 pm, Friday at Kubena Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Gary Kelly, Dan Tozer, Glenn Janak, John Janak, Michael Janak, and Donnie Schmidt. Officiate: Rev. Charles Sonnier. Burial: Koerth Catholic Cemetery.
