Agnes Marie (Cervenka) Svetlik,87, of Wied, TX , went to be with our Lord on Tuesday October 21, 2014. She was born on Aug. 7, 1927 to James & Mary Janak Cervenka in Hallettsville, Texas. On Nov.9 1949 she married her pen-pal Alfonse Adolph Svetlik Sr. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was a loving wife and a loving mother. She was very devoted to the Catholic Church with a special devotion to the Rosary and to the Blessed Virgin Mary She was a member of KJZT Society-Wied, TX, SPJST Lodge, and St. Mary's Altar Society.

Agnes was Survived by her husband Alfonse; 6 Childrens, Benedict and wife Mary Ann of Hallettsville, Lawrence and wife Joyce of El Campo, TX, Leon and wife Joyce of Shiner, Anna Jaks of Shiner, TX, Joseph and wife Debbie of Shiner, and Alfonse Jr. and wife Cindy of Wied, TX; 10-Grandchildren Ben Jr. and wife Glenda. Kathy Grafe and husband Jason, Gregory and wife Patricia, Dwayne and wife Michelene, Brian and wife Jennifer, Julie Stock and husband Kenneth, Joey and wife Janelle, James Svetlik, Erik Svetlik, and Erin Svetlik; 9-Great Grandchildren Kaylee and Kyle Svetlik, Jared, Nicholas, and Alyssa Grafe, Emily, Joshua, and Matthew Svetlik, and Jenna Stock; 3-Step Great Grandchildren Kaitlyn, Justin, and Clay Svetlik.

Agnes was preceded in death by: her parents; 3-sisters, Elizabeth Matula, Matilda Matula and Margaret Vesely.

Funeral Mass Service : 10am Friday, October 24, 2014, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hallettsville. Visitation : 4 pm, Thursday, at Kubena Funeral Home with Rosary : starting at 7 pm. Officiant : Msgr. John Peters. Pallbearers : Benedict Jr., Gregory, Dwayne, Brian, Erik, and James Svetlik. Burial : St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Memorials: St. Mary's Catholic Church or donor's choice.
