Agatha, at an early age, moved to Chicago and was employed for 38 years at John Swift Co. in Chicago. Upon retirement, she moved back to Lavaca County and for the past year, was a resident at Hallettsville Rehab. and Nursing Center in Hallettsville.
Agatha is survived by: sister-in-law Dolores Janak of Hallettsville; brother-in-law Leo Opela of Hallettsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Agatha was preceded in death by: parents; 2 sisters, Marcella Opela and Justine Migl; and brother Sylvester Janak.
Funeral Mass Service: 2 pm, Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 5 pm, Saturday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosary: 7 pm, Saturday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Msgr. John Peters. Pallbearers: Dale Janak, Wayne Janak, Ronald Opela, Donald Opela, Keith Orsak, and Allen Migl. Memorials: St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hospice of South Texas, or Donor's Choice. Burial: St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
